First of all this heavy duty terminal jockey (or “yard jockey”) is a Kalmar Ottawa T2 Terminal Tractor which is about the top of the line in its class. It’s not your average everyday fork lift.

The Ottawa T2 has a fifth-wheel for lifting and lowering which requires the mechanical equipment riggers at Pedowitz to triple check the rigging straps to insure the machine is properly secured.
